Using SXTune

Sensor scaling tools

Use the built-in calculators to turn sensor manufacturer data into ECU scaling values.

SXTune: SXTune includes a linear analogue helper and an NTC Sensor Scaling Calculator in the Map Editor workflow.

Linear analogue scaling

Many pressure and position sensors are specified at points such as 0.5 V and 4.5 V rather than at 0 V and 5 V. The linear helper calculates the equivalent 0 V/5 V endpoints required by the ECU scaling.

NTC scaling

The NTC calculator accepts temperature/resistance pairs. It calculates the ECU temperature curve at the fixed map breakpoints using the ECU reference/pull-up arrangement. Spreadsheet data can be pasted as tab-separated columns; CSV input is also accepted.

Verify after calculation

Calculated scaling is only the starting point. Compare the ECU's live engineering value with a known pressure/temperature reference before using the channel for engine protection or closed-loop control.
