ECU Setup

Injector and ignition setup

Configure the hardware correctly and use SXTune's output tests before attempting to start or map the engine.

Configuration

Injector and ignition configuration is ECU and engine dependent. Confirm cylinder count/firing order, injector arrangement, ignition output type and any injector-flow/dead-time data required by the selected fuel model before first start.

Output testing

The existing SCS troubleshooting guide uses the Inputs & Outputs Test page to test individual injector and ignition channels. Its example sets the selected output and a 3000 µs test pulse. An injector should be audibly actuated; ignition can be checked with a correctly grounded test spark plug.

Safety: output tests can move actuators, inject fuel and generate high ignition voltage. Disable fuel supply where appropriate and keep fuel vapour away from ignition testing.

Before running

Verify synchronisation, injector/coil channel order and actual ignition timing. Do not use the fuel or spark maps to disguise incorrect wiring, firing order or crank offset.
